i had this delightful fantasy that once classes were finally finished, i would actually have free time to work on my own projects and be able to spend hours basking in creativity and freedom, trying out all sorts of new and exciting ideas! alas ... that was all a dream, or perhaps, a delirious study-induced hallucination. life has maintained its frenetic pace and it takes a concentrated effort to find the time for independent creative work. now, a part-time job, classes and the insanity of starting a business have been replaced with the equivalent of two full-time jobs: one that is currently paying the bills, and the other our burgeoning studio, which requires full-time effort to be thrown into promotion in hopes that, eventually, it will become the bill-paying job.
it's a great type of busy, though. i may not have as much energy for the independent creative stuff that i'd like to do, but i've taken the initial steps towards becoming a creative professional - to making my passion my livelihood, and i couldn't be happier! it's a great adventure, and i can't wait to see how things develop!
